Last week in the Ponce Inlet area we had a lot of beautiful blue water push closer to shore, which has encouraged the fish to eat. Inshore things have been pretty good, with most guys catching flounder limits before noon. We have been bottom fishing, as it is red snapper season, and we have had some luck. We found plenty of nice size red snapper in Ponce Inlet, and we added a mutton snapper to the mix. We find live bait to be best, with mullet or pinfish as our choice. I hope you had a great experience out there this year and remember for next time that these snapper see a lot of lines and bait, so scale down your tackle for the most bites.
