Fishing out of Ponce inlet last week was unusually fun. We found lots of schoolie sized mahi on weed lines between 25 and 40 miles east of New Smyrna Beach. It almost looked like spring time out there. Bottom fishing was fruitful, as we found large commercial grade vermillion snapper, as well as triggerfish and porgies, and the usually red snapper. I’m hoping to get out to the weather bouy in search of yellowfin tuna and blue marlin. I will let y’all know how it goes. Be safe out there and try not to fish alone! Cheers!!
