NEARSHORE FISHING CHARTERS
For a nearshore trip, we will be exiting Ponce Inlet and exploring the surrounding beaches, nearshore wrecks, and rock jetties. This is the trip to choose if you are hoping to catch tarpon or cobia. Nearshore trips allow for different types of fishing, including standard trolling, beach fishing the bait pods, and following shrimp boats. During the spring and fall it is recommended to do nearshore charters because of the bait pods along the beaches. We experience a cobia migration during the month of April and nearshore trips are the nest for targeting these tasty fish. During these trips the target species can be tarpon, cobia, sharks, king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, jack crevalle, bonita (false albacore), bull reds, sea trout, snook, red snapper, mangrove snapper, tripletail, triggerfish, groupers, flounder, etc. All cobia and tarpon fishing trips are considered nearshore fishing.

Blue Voodoo Outfitters offers three different types of trips. Our reef and wreck trip is offered at 6 and 10 hours, with 10 hour trips being the recommendation. You do not need to purchase fishing licenses. Parties of 5 or more will be taken on a case by case basis . Departure times can be changed upon request and may vary based on the weather and the season. We do allow children on certain trips. All day trips depart between 6:00am and 7:00am depending upon the season. Afternoon trips may be booked upon request.

night fishing & CUSTOM TRIPS
Night Fishing Trips: Come explore the waterways of New Smyrna at night. Fishing artificial lures and live baits underneath the bridges at night can produce huge snook, trout, and redfish. Captain Jimmy has even had the rare cubera snapper or bonefish bite on live bait at the North Causeway. There is also time to anchor up in the channel and fish quartered blue crabs for monster redfish, and plenty of sharks. The view of the lighthouse and the inlet at night is an experience you won’t forget. Night trips depart about thirty minutes to an hour after sunset (time changes depending upon the season) and go for 4 or 6 hours.

what's provided
All fishing licenses are included. We supply all tackle, bait, fishing gear, ice, and bags for fish filets. Customers may keep fish as long as they are of legal requirements. We will clean it for you. We will have water and some soda drinks on board but please bring any other drinks or snacks that you would like to have.
CATERING
We do offer catered food through our professional chef… @grilledcheesesocial. She is well known for feeding our town some of the best food in the country. Food requests must be made 48 hours in advance. Options will be discussed upon booking.

what to bring
Please dress accordingly. The Florida sun is hot and dangerous. Long sleeves and sunscreen is recommended. Please wear non-marking soled shoes. If they are not non-marking, you may be asked to remove them. This is a boat, and your feet may get wet. Please keep this in mind when picking footwear.
If you are doing a nearshore trip and are prone to sea-sickness, please take bonine or dramamine the night before as well as the morning of the trip. This helps prevent any sea-sickness. |

PAYMENT & DEPOSIT INFORMATION
We accept all major credit cards through chase square. A small fee will be applied for credit card transactions. Cash and some checks will be accepted. We require a $100 deposit upon booking.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If a cancellation is made before 48 hours we will give you a full refund. The deposit will be kept if the cancellation is less than 48 hours. If you call to cancel within the 48 hours and want to rebook, 50% of the deposit will go towards the rescheduled trip. If weather or mechanical issues are the cause of cancellation, a full refund or rebooking will be given. Blue Voodoo Outfitters reserves the right to call the trip off at any time for safety reasons, and will refund accordingly.
GRATUITY
Gratuities are standard in the industry and are not included in the price of the trip. Tips are a large part of our income so a fair tip is extremely appreciated. Similar gratuity rates as restaurants. (20%)
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
Hotel accommodations can be made at The Black Dolphin Inn. Well known as the best bed and breakfast in town, this cozy spot will keep you rested and well fed for your days on the water.
